Farm Food
Harvest Pack is proud to partner with SoulSpace Farm Sanctuary, aligning our missions to combat cruelty and support compassion in our communities. As an organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals to those in need, we recognize the importance of minimizing waste and maximizing impact. Through our partnership, any surplus ingredients spilled during packing sessions that cannot be utilized for meal production are generously donated to SoulSpace, where they serve a meaningful purpose in nourishing the beloved residents of the sanctuary. This collaboration not only ensures that every resource is utilized efficiently but also contributes to the well-being of the animals under SoulSpace's care. Together, Harvest Pack and SoulSpace are making a difference, fostering a culture of empathy, sustainability, and support for both humans and animals alike.
Park Benches
Harvest Pack is thrilled to collaborate with an outstanding local Kiwanis club and the remarkable Colleen Watson to champion sustainability and community enrichment. Through our joint efforts, we collect plastic wrap, bin liners, and gloves from our Hunger Projects for recycling. Colleen, an esteemed member and dear friend of Harvest Pack, leads the charge in transporting these materials to the Columbia Heights recycling center. Then, the plastics undergo the recycling process and are transformed into sturdy park benches. This innovative initiative not only minimizes waste but also contributes to the creation of functional and aesthetically pleasing additions to our local parks. Together, through our commitment to sustainability, we're turning everyday materials into lasting community assets, showcasing the power of collaboration and environmental stewardship.
