Volunteer Health & Safety Measures at Harvest Pack Events

Thank you for volunteering to pack meals with us. Harvest Pack values the health and wellness of everyone in our community and strives to follow best practices for volunteer and community health. We are also required to follow FDA guidelines for safe food preparation. To ensure the safety of our volunteers, staff and the food we pack, please do not come to volunteer if you have any new or unexplained symptoms indicative of contagious illness or food-borne diseases.

General Illness Information:

If you have had any of the following symptoms in the last 24 hours, please refrain from volunteering at this time:

  • Fever or chills

  • Cough

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle or body aches

  • Headache

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Sore throat

  • Congestion or runny nose

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Diarrhea

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please stay home. If you have tested positive for flu or Covid-19, or have experienced gastrointestinal illness, you must be symptom and fever free for 24 hours before volunteering.

If you doubt volunteering with us due to any potential illness (common cold, influenza, COVID, or other), we appreciate you staying home and taking care of yourself. Thank you for your help in ensuring our staff and volunteers, and the food we distribute, remain safe and healthy.
