Our Food

So, What's In It?

We started with research from food scientists to create meals that are nutritionally rich. Made with gluten-free, U.S.-sourced ingredients, our meals are full of carbohydrates, proteins, and vitamins that are easily digestible - perfect for a malnourished body and mind.
Each meal includes all nine essential amino acids for complete nutrition. That is something that can't be said for rice or beans alone. We designed our meals to be the most complete nutrition available in a package that can be prepared with just boiling water. The meals will store for a long time so that they can be ready when they're needed most.

Every Harvest Pack meal is nut-free, gluten-free*, vegan, Kosher, and Halal, so it can be enjoyed by people with different needs and food restrictions.

Ingredients in rice and protein meals are from production equipment which may also produce food containing gluten.

Local Meals

Harvest Pack listened when food shelves said they urgently need nutritious breakfasts, and we formulated the most nutrient-rich oatmeal out there. Our oatmeal provides daily essential vitamins and minerals, is soy and GMO-free, flavorful, and comes in easily recognizable pouches with cooking tips.
Harvest Pack partners with many local organizations to donate our meals to their food shelves and pantries. Some of these organizations include Every Meal & Community Emergency Services in Minneapolis, The Dorothy Day Center in Saint Paul, and Community Action Partnership of Scott, Carver & Dakota Counties.

International Meals

Each international rice and soy protein pouch contains six servings of vitamin-packed, protein-richness that can be prepared with boiling water, and mixed to taste with local spices. The rice ingredient is the most recognized food in the world, and it has been a lot of fun to see the various ways different cultures have integrated Harvest Pack food into their own cultural traditions.  Check out our Recipes page for some suggestions on different ways to prepare this tasty dish!
